When the cold storage device performs the defrosting function, it exerts pressure to the outside due to the expansion of the heated air. As a result of this pressure, cold storage panels and doors flexes constantly and are damaged over time.
The pressure equalization valve removes the pressure created from the cold storage depot and prevents damage to the cold storage panels and doors. The flaps on the pressure equalization valves are opened and closed under depending on the pressure, therefore no heat loss occurs. Low wattage resistance is used to prevent the flaps from freezing. Pressure equalization valves are manufactured from hygienic plastic material.
